Q. If you could describe the company in one sentence? (Octopo is ___.)
A. OCTOPO is a place where we create tomorrow through collaboration.
•
I believe that while you may be able to live alone, you cannot accomplish many things entirely on your own. Since joining OCTOPO, I have met so many people and felt myself growing, both in terms of my abilities and my mindset.
Q. What’s your ultimate work playlist?
A. “With a Heart to Forget” by the late Kim Kwang-seok
•
I have always liked ballads, and among the many ballads I listen to, this song seems to bring me more comfort each time I hear it. Whenever my mind feels cluttered with work or personal matters, listening to it seems to help me focus and work more efficiently.
Q. What’s a good day to work from home?
A. Tuesday
•
I think Mondays feel especially difficult because of the psychological pressure of knowing that there are still four more days until the weekend. Working from home on Tuesday would give me a greater sense of relief and allow me to work more efficiently and comfortably, which is why I chose Tuesday!
Q. What’s a good day to come into the office?
A. The day new snacks arrive
•
As the person responsible for general affairs, I take care not only of the office but also of the food and snacks provided for our employees. I feel a great sense of satisfaction whenever I see everyone enjoying the new snacks, so I chose the day they arrive.
Q. What kind of person would fit well at Octopo?
A. Someone like Ditto
•
I used Ditto to describe someone who can naturally adapt to and become part of OCTOPO’s atmosphere!
Q. What makes you most proud to work here?
A. Remote work and seasonal breaks
•
Long commutes can be especially exhausting, but working from home on Tuesdays and Thursdays helps improve both productivity and overall happiness. We can also refresh and recharge during our summer and winter breaks, which is something I am very proud of. Tee hee.
Q. When did you feel you grew the most after joining?
A. When I successfully completed my probationary period
•
It was when I looked back at the list of questions and requests I had resolved through Slack after completing my probationary period. Seeing that I had become capable of handling tasks that once seemed impossible made me realize just how much I had grown.
Q. What would you like to say to someone considering applying to Octopo?
A. Hesitating will only delay the day you join us.
•
There is no job in the world that is completely easy or free from difficulties. The difference lies in how much happiness you can find and cultivate along the way. From my experience, OCTOPO is a place where a great deal of that happiness can be found.
Q. Who helps create a healthy team atmosphere?
A. Within the Management Team, I would have to say it is probably me.
•
Everyone carries feelings of sadness and exhaustion within them. Those feelings do not make a team or a person’s life healthier. However, I believe I am someone who knows how to help lighten the weight of those feelings for others.
Q. Which emoji do you use most often on Slack?
•
I see myself as someone who helps resolve employees’ inconveniences and delivers welfare benefits—or, in other words, happiness. This means there are many situations where I need to coordinate with others and where mutual understanding and consideration are important. That is probably why I often use this emoji to express my gratitude and appreciation.
