Interview With YUNNY

Q. If you could describe the company in one sentence? (Octopo is ___.)

A. Octopo is a comprehensive art form.
Because it brings together people who work across multiple fields — not only effects and animation, but also in-house development and video production.

Q. What’s your ultimate work playlist?

A. “[Alexandros] – 風になって (Kaze ni Natte)”
I like the driving sense of speed the song has.

Q. What’s a good day to work from home?

A. A rainy day.
Because I can listen to the sound of rain without getting a single drop on me.

Q. What’s a good day to come into the office?

A. Very hot or very cold days.
Because the office environment is comfortable. (even though commuting might still be tough…)

Q. What kind of person would fit well at Octopo?

A. Someone who grows by diving in, and adjusts their fit by referencing past work and records.
Since Animate isn’t widely used these days, it’s important to learn by trying firsthand and absorbing insights from the many existing works. Someone who can actively learn that way would be a great fit.

Q. What makes you most proud to work here?

A. Being able to bring dogs to the office.
For people who love pets but can’t raise one due to circumstances, it feels like a ray of light.

Q. When did you feel you grew the most after joining?

A. When the final result started to match the image I had envisioned beforehand.
As a newcomer, the results often didn’t match what I had in mind, or turned out differently than expected.

Q. What would you like to say to someone considering applying to Octopo?

A. If you’re worried because you’re not very outgoing, don’t worry — just apply.
I’ll proudly represent the not-so-outgoing group myself…

Q. Who helps create a healthy team atmosphere?

A. Someone who may be shy, but communicates proactively when it comes to decision-making and work.
In this industry, there can be many introverted people, but when it comes to work, communication shouldn’t be passive.

Q. Which emoji do you use most often on Slack?

A. Because it’s the most honest and straightforward way to express agreement.
