A. Octopo is flexibility.
I think of how we constantly look for ways to maintain balance and respond flexibly whenever challenges arise.

Q. What’s your ultimate work playlist?

A. The background music playing in the office.
I realized at Octopo how big the difference is between working with and without music. Naturally, the ambient background music in the office has become my go-to focus playlist.

Q. What’s a good day to work from home?

A. A day that requires deep individual focus.
While coming into the office has communication advantages, when I feel distracted, it’s helpful to immerse myself in a space where it’s just me and my work.

Q. What’s a good day to come into the office?

A. A day when the weather is nice and many teammates are in the office.
The best days to commute are when stepping outside feels refreshing and sets a positive tone for the day. I see the office as a space where enjoyable work communication and casual conversations during breaks happen naturally.
Days when I can draw that kind of energy are the days I want to come in.

Q. What kind of person would fit well at Octopo?

A. Someone who is proactive in expressing opinions and equally open to accepting others’ perspectives.
Since we have a strong feedback culture, I think someone who can both share and receive diverse opinions would adapt well.

A. The atmosphere of continuously building an environment that values freedom and responsibility, allowing us to work proactively.
To make work enjoyable and smooth, we constantly communicate about what’s needed. I’m proud of our horizontal and open culture.

Q. When did you feel you grew the most after joining?

A. When positive responses from clients increased.
Not only from clients, but also when I received more feedback and reactions to my work internally, I felt the most growth.

Q. What would you like to say to someone considering applying to Octopo?

A. I believe challenges and opportunities always go hand in hand. If you feel the project style and company culture fit you, why not apply without hesitation?
Finding the right people to work together is not easy, and getting to know each other takes time. If you’re considering it, applying is the first step!

Q. Who helps create a healthy team atmosphere?

A. Someone who can offer encouragement even during tight schedules and naturally engage in conversations about work.
All team members support one another and check in through feedback and discussions about our work. I think this environment greatly contributes to how we collaborate. Someone who can maintain a healthy balance between work and personal boundaries helps keep the team atmosphere balanced and positive.

I often use the “thank you” emoji to express appreciation for announcements and feedback.
I use the red heart to soften what might otherwise feel cold or rigid in text.
I frequently use the “thumb on fire” to show wholehearted praise for impressive work.
I use the energetic moving emoji when I want to cheer everyone on and boost team spirit.
