Interview With MAYA

Q. If you could describe the company in one sentence? (Octopo is ___.)

A. Octopo is a friend.
Like a true friend, it celebrates with you when you’re happy and supports you when you’re feeling down.

Q. What’s your ultimate work playlist?

A. A girl group song compilation!
The upbeat rhythms boost my working speed up, up, up!

Q. What makes you most proud to work here?

A. “You’ve worked hard — now go travel!!!” Octopo’s best benefit: summer & winter vacation!!
I’m most proud of the fact that we can fully rest, recharge, and come back energized to work in a fun and motivated way.

Q. When did you feel you grew the most after joining?

A. Now
When I first started working as a background modeler, I went through many trials and errors because the software was unfamiliar. But by facing challenges one by one and solving them, my skills gradually improved. Now, I’ve grown to the point where I handle most of the 3D work for projects.
When I compare my early work to my recent work, I can clearly see differences not only in technical skill, but also in quality and expression.

Q. What would you like to say to someone considering applying to Octopo?

A. At Octopo, I used Blender for the first time, and it was also my first time working as a background modeler. I had only done character modeling with Autodesk 3ds Max before, so joining Octopo was a huge challenge for me. Now, I’m growing together with Octopo as a background modeler on the development team.
At Octopo, no one struggles alone. There are always reliable colleagues by your side to help solve problems together.
Take the leap, and challenge yourself! Octopo is fully prepared to support your growth and ambition. Show us your full potential!

Q. Who helps create a healthy team atmosphere?

A. Chic
While working, differences in opinion or direction can sometimes cause friction. Whenever that happens, Chic carefully listens to both sides, calmly organizes the discussion, and suggests a better direction. Sometimes serious, sometimes gentle, they skillfully balance firmness and warmth to keep the team atmosphere stable.
